Sponsored or gifted Snap without Paid Partnership label
Snapchat may expect a label or a disclosure on the video.
Last verified
What triggers it
Content that promotes a brand, product or service (including your own business, or anything you were paid or gifted for) without identifying it as commercial and using Snap's paid partnership tool on every Snap.
What Snapchat says
“Commercial content must identify the commercial nature of the content, and any promoted brand. You must also use Snap's paid partnership tool to label this content”
We last checked this against Snapchat's page on .
How to fix it
Turn on the Paid Partnership label, say 'ad' or 'sponsored' in the Snap, and disclose on every Snap of a multi-Snap promo.
Good to know
Brand mentions with discount codes, affiliate links, 'thanks to X', unboxing gifted items, or selling your own products. Buying a product yourself to review it does not need the label.
