Engagement bait ('wait for it', like goals)
Snapchat may leave the video out of recommendations, so fewer people see it.
Last verified
What triggers it
A 'wait for it' that never pays off, challenges based on fake Snapchat features, 'if this gets 20,000 likes I'll...', or tricks to make people re-watch or pause (long text blocks, split-second glimpses, spot-the-difference).
What Snapchat says
“Attempts to trick people into re-watching or pausing a Snap via long blocks of text, brief glimpses of something, or “spot the difference” games.”

How to fix it
Remove the bait line; make sure any promised payoff actually happens.
Good to know
Look for 'wait for it', 'watch till the end', 'Snapchat won't let you like this 10 times', 'if this gets X likes', walls of text shown for a second, hidden-object frames.
Can FYProof spot it?
A full check of your video looks for it in what's shown, what's said, the words on screen and the caption. What a check finds is an estimate, not a guarantee.
