What triggers it

A video generated entirely by an outside AI tool (for example a clip made with another company's AI video generator), even if it carries an AI disclosure.

What Snapchat says

“As of this month and going forward, wholly AI-generated videos will no longer be eligible for recommendation on Spotlight.”

How to fix it

Use real footage you shot, or make the AI parts with Snapchat's built-in AI tools, which stay eligible.

Good to know

Content edited with Snapchat's own AI Lenses/tools stays eligible. Real footage with light AI touch-ups is not 'wholly' AI-generated.

Can FYProof spot it?

A full check of your video looks for it in what's shown. What a check finds is an estimate, not a guarantee.

  • Video: looked at for this rule

Sounds other than speech, such as music, aren't checked.

It doesn't read details stored inside the file, such as labels an editing app adds.
