Video outside Pinterest's upload specs
What happens on Pinterest depends on the details of this rule.
About to post? A full check of your video looks for this in the video's size, shape and length, with a plain fix.
Check a video freeWhat triggers it
Video shorter than 4 seconds or longer than 15 minutes, larger than 2 GB, not .mp4/.mov/.m4v, or with an aspect ratio wider than 1.91:1 or taller than 1:2.
What Pinterest says
“Shorter than 1:2 (width:height), taller than 1.91:1. We recommend making your videos square (1:1) or vertical (2:3, 4:5, or 9:16).”
How to fix it
Re-export within the limits; 9:16, 2:3 or 4:5 vertical works best.

Duration 4 s to 15 min, size up to 2 GB. Titles up to 100 characters (only the first ~40 show in feeds), descriptions up to 800 characters. Specs are listed on the ads spec page and apply to standard-width video Pins.
