What triggers it

A promoted Pin with any weight-loss language or imagery: diet pills, appetite suppressants, before-and-after photos, weight-loss testimonials, BMI references, body shaming, or unrealistic cosmetic results.

What Pinterest says

“With the exception of approved healthcare advertisers in the US and Canada who promote prescription GLP-1 medication, we don’t allow any weight loss language or imagery in advertisements.”

Good to know

Organic Pins fall under the disordered-eating rule instead.

Can FYProof spot it?

A full check of your video looks for it in what's shown, what's said, the words on screen and the caption. What a check finds is an estimate, not a guarantee.

  • Video: looked at for this rule
  • Speech: looked at for this rule
  • On-screen text: looked at for this rule
  • Caption: looked at for this rule
  • Hashtags: not for this rule

Platforms change their rules often. This page sums up what Pinterest publishes; it isn't legal advice.
