Watermark from another app
Instagram may leave the video out of recommendations, so fewer people see it.
About to post? A full check of your video looks for this in what's shown and the words on screen, with a plain fix.
Check a video freeWhat triggers it
A visible watermark or logo from another app (e.g. TikTok, CapCut template, other platforms' usernames) on a Reel.
What Instagram says
“low-resolution or watermarked reels”
How to fix it
Re-export from the original project without the watermark, or crop or cover it. Do not download from TikTok to repost.
Good to know
Check corners and the end card for bouncing TikTok logos and @handles, CapCut template marks, and other app badges. Instagram's head said in 2024 that a creator's own logo is fine (credible reporting).
Can FYProof spot it?
