Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to check their videos here, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader or zoom.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA on the public pages, sign-up and sign-in, the upload page, reports, billing, your account and our emails.
What we've done
- Everything works with a keyboard: platform choices, the report's platform filters and the buttons that play your video from a moment.
- You can always see where the keyboard is on the page.
- We measured the contrast of our text and controls against their backgrounds, and changed the colors that fell short.
- Form fields have labels, and error messages are marked in the page's code to be read out by screen readers.
- Upload progress and the state of a check are announced as they change.
- If your device asks for less motion, we turn off moving effects and smooth scrolling.
- Pages fit narrow phone screens (320 pixels wide) without scrolling sideways.
- Our emails are plain, with real text instead of pictures of text.
What we know falls short
- We haven't yet tested the site with a screen reader (VoiceOver or NVDA) or at 200% zoom on a laptop. That's planned before we open sign-ups, and we'll update this page after.
- The video player is your browser's own. How well it works with a keyboard or screen reader depends on your browser.
- Your report can't add captions to your own video. What's said in it is described in words where it matters for a problem.
- The check that you're a person (when it's turned on) comes from Cloudflare. If it doesn't work for you, write to us and we'll help.
Tell us
If something on the site is hard to use, email support@fyproof.com or use the contact form. Tell us the page and what happened, and we'll answer by email and help you another way in the meantime.
